Welcome to the website of the ECAT Foundation.

The ECAT Foundation is a non-profit organisation providing an international External Quality Assessment Programme (EQAP) for laboratories working in the field of haemostasis and thrombosis. The primary aim of the ECAT Foundation is to contribute to quality assessment and improvement of clinical laboratories operating within this field with respect to the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

ISO/IEC 17043:2010

Since 25 April 2012 the EQA programme of the ECAT is accredited according to the international standard ISO/IEC 17043:2010. The accredited status was provided by the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA) under the registration number R018.
